Indicator for NinjaTrader 8 (release candidate)

October 04, 2016
Hello!

I've worked hard to modify my indicator so it's compatible with NinjaTrader 8. I'm happy to say that it appears to be working perfectly, based on the testing I've done.

NinjaTrader 8, at this stage, is still only a release candidate, so technically my indicator for NinjaTrader 8 is also only a release candidate, however if you're one of my users and want to give it a go then it's available for you to download on the Indicator page in the Members section.

Please let me know if you try it and if you find any issues!

NinjaTrader 8

September 21, 2016
Hi everyone,

I've had a few emails asking if my indicator works on NinjaTrader 8 (which is currently at the release candidate stage).

I can confirm that currently my indicator does *NOT* work on NinjaTrader 8, however I've started working my way through the changes required to make it compatible. At this stage, however, I don't have an estimated release date.

In the meantime, if you're on Ninja 7, just stick to that. If you're interested in my system and are new to Ninja then just install version 7. Once I'm ready to go then you can easily move to 8.

Note that you can have both Ninja 7 and 8 installed on your computer at the same time with no issues.

The changes between 7 and 8 are quite major, so please bear with me while I get things sorted. Thanks for your understanding!

Colored SMA indicator!

March 11, 2015
Hi everyone,

I get a lot of e-mails from people asking for me to send them the colored SMA indicator that you can see in my 6E video below. I know I said to e-mail to ask for it - I guess you need to be careful what you ask for!

Anyway, so you don't have to e-mail, it's here:

E-mini bonds live trade - 05/03/2013

May 04, 2013
Hi everyone!

Here's another live trade I made right before the bond market closed.

When the market tightens up, you can occasionally get a signal in the opposite direction to a trade you're already in. In that situation I don't do anything special - I just ride out the trade I'm in. This video shows an example of that.

Apart from that, a pretty standard trade - a quick 2-tick profit. At about $60 per contract after commissions, two ticks is all you need. Trade ten contracts and that's $600!

E-mini bonds live trade - 04/30/2013

May 02, 2013
I often get asked if you can trade the bonds outside of the bond market hours.

In this video I take a trade just after the bond market has closed (3pm Eastern time).

Not a particularly exciting video, but I achieve my 2-tick target. The only difference trading outside of the bond market hours is that the market moves a little slower and you can get some sideways movement, which this video shows well.

I hope your trading is going well! As always, send me an email at simon@eminibonds.com if you have any questions!

I'm back / E-mini bonds live trade - 04/12/2013

April 13, 2013
I'm back making videos!

You guys kept asking for them, so I'll make a few more. I thought that there were enough videos on this site for everyone to get the idea of how I trade, but I guess more is better!

This video shows a pretty standard trade. This is the sort of trade I love - nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

What's up?

February 13, 2012
I've had a few people e-mail me recently asking what's up. Are you still trading? Are you still maintaining your website?

The answer is yes, I'm still trading! I am, however, a little slack at keeping this site up to date. At the end of the day I'm a trader, and I make my income from trading, not selling trading systems, so this website is very much a side project.

It's clear from your e-mails, however, that you'd like me to keep posting blog entries and videos - that's fine by me! I just thought there were enough blog entries and videos to get an idea of how I trade. Often the videos are very similar - don't want to bore you too much!

I'll get myself make in video-making mode - watch this space!

Happy New Year!

January 09, 2012
Hi everyone,

I hope you had a nice holiday season and a happy new year! I'm about to start trading again for the year so I'll start posting some more videos soon.

I wish everyone the best for the new year, and happy trading!

Trading the 6E with the E-mini Bonds indicator!

November 11, 2011
Hi everyone,

As promised in my last post, here's a video discussing trading the 6E with my indicator. I've spent a lot of time working out the best way to trade the 6E and I'm happy with the results so far. I'll continue to work on it and see if I can improve things more!

Currently I'm averaging about 8 ticks a day, give or take (a tick on the 6E is worth $12.50), so about $100 per contract per day - not bad really. Will it continue? Who knows! The market has been pretty wild lately!

You'll see I'm using a second indicator in the video which is a basic SMA that changes color based on the trend. I'm happy to give that to anyone that wants it - just send me an e-mail.

Let's start posting!

October 17, 2011
Hi everyone,

Thanks for your e-mails following up on why I haven't been posting much lately and asking if I'm OK. I'm fine!

I've been a bit busy in the last month helping a friend of mine get a new online business off the ground. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it previously, but in a former life I was a software engineer. My friend wanted me to help build his website, along with some another applications. Anyway, it was fun doing a bit of development work, however I realize a lot of you enjoy my blog entries, so hopefully I won't neglect it as long as this again!

Anyway, in my last post I mentioned about using my indicator on the USD/EUR (6E) future. I plan to make a video showing how it can work very soon. I'll probably just use a sim account since it's a bit of a side-project for me.

I hope your trading is going well - stay tuned for more soon.
